Best E-bike Vacations: Florida

Posted by Yina Liu on
beach vacation

Continuing on our series highlighting the best places to vacation with your Espin electric bike, this week we're headed down south for some fun in the sun.

Florida offers some amazing beaches and towns to ride in. We can't feature them all but here are our favorites.

Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach

Why tour by car or foot when you can glide around on your electric bike to beautiful spots like Manatee Sanctuary Park and Jetty Park Road which is tree lined and leads to a gorgeous pier - perfect for sunsets and sunrises. There's also plenty of micro breweries around in case you get thirsty along the way.

Panama City

Check out the sights and history of Panama City from your ebike, including murals between the historic spots you'll want to make in the St. Andrews neighborhood. From this picturesque town, you'll have incredible views of St. Andrews Bay where dolphins and manatees are easy to spot in the right seasons.

The Everglades

The Everglades is one of the most beautiful natural wonders on the planet. The picturesque tropical wetlands are perfect for nature lovers year-round, and here are some of the best places to ride:

Everglades National Park

The Everglades National Park has 5 different biking trails that spread throughout the park, and some are paved while others are dirt and gravel. For the best e-bike experience, we recommend the Shark Valley Trail. This 14.5-mile loop is paved and has an incredible view of the park. Also, if you like alligators, this trail is for you because these are frequently around or even on the trail.

Everglades City

This beautiful town located in Collier County, Florida, was designated a "Trail Town" due to its beautiful biking and hiking trails. Though not specifically designated for biking, this town hosts miles of paved, low-traffic trails which are e-bike friendly.

Everglades City has beautiful historic structures, an amazing view of the Everglades, and access to paddling trails if you would like to explore the glades by boat.
